Encrypted backup and restore
Download an encrypted backup, then save the file in Google Drive or another place you choose. On your other phone, download that file and restore it here with the same password.
The password cannot be recovered. Backups contain messages, never invitation credentials. Disappearing messages retain their original expiry, but we cannot erase copies or older backup files held elsewhere.
Delete every message saved in this browser? This does not delete another device’s messages or backup files. New messages can still arrive while connected.
Chat and media use encrypted WebRTC transport. Compare the verification code aloud on every call: matching codes mean no one is relaying your connection, including this server. Invitation links work once; reconnects use a fresh credential kept in this page. You still trust your devices and the server delivering this app’s code. Local history is readable by anyone with access to this browser. Clearing browser storage deletes its local copy. On phones, use your browser’s Add to Home Screen option. Keep the app open during conversations.
